
On Friday three men escaped with their lives when the truck on which they were travelling rolled backwards on the R40 just outside town.
According to Ms Athlenda Mathe from 911, the truck was filled with goods and was travelling uphill went it rolled backwards. The men then jumped off, fearing for their lives. They sustained minor injuries and were rushed to hospital.
“Our paramedics managed to stabilise the injured men on the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further medical care,” she said.
