Local choirs gather to commemorate youth month
Eleven local choirs gave an amazing performance to commemorate Youth Month at the local community hall last Sunday.
MASHISHING – Eleven local choirs gave an amazing performance to commemorate Youth Month at the local community hall last Sunday.
Residents came out in numbers to witness the festivity that was organised by the Mashishing Choir Association.
According to Mr Johannes Mkhabela, an organiser of the choirs, “All the choirs that performed did so to honour the youth of 1976.”
They were all from Mashishing and Skhila. “We decided to give local choirs the chance to showcase their talent to the residents,” said Mkhabela.
The money raised during the event was distributed among the choirs.
They will use the money for transport, choir uniforms and other things that they need.
