Why did the chicken cross the road? To lay a green egg…

LYDENBURG – We all know the story about the goose that laid golden eggs. Here in town though, there is a very special kind of chicken that lays green eggs.

The hen that lays these unusual eggs belongs to Mr Nico Bekker who lives in Fourie Street. Bekker said that he bought two hens on an auction and that the seller told him that the chickens would lay green eggs. He didn’t think much of it until the hen delivered her first green eggs a couple of days ago.
