LYDENBURG – Local Pilates instructor, Ms Stephani Roos had the audience spellbound with her talk ‘Movement for Life’ on Saturday at Lodge Laske Nakke.

Roos was one of the speakers during the weekend seminar on Health for Life. According to Roos sitting is the new smoking. “We were all designed to move and not to sit,”

During her presentation she instructed her audience to sit upright, “growing tall” in their chairs, breathing deeply. As if they are yawning with a closed mouth. She emphasised the value of spinal alignment for general well-being and stress relief.  Roos encouraged people to choose exercises that are kind to their spines and joints, without neglecting cardiovascular health.
