Pictures and video: Storm wrecks havoc in Belfast
The damage was more severe along the Dullstroom road where plantation trees were uprooted and many household's roofs blown off. Two delivery vehicles were apparently also blown over by the gale winds. Miraculously, no one sustained serious injuries.

BELFAST – Severe damage was done in the Belfast area in Mpumalanga after a severe storm and an apparent tornado swept through the area.
According to Ms. Jeanette Kruger-Hibbens of Lydenburg, she and her husband drove through the town shortly after the storm hit. “We saw a tree lying in the road just before entering Belfast and wondered what on earth happened. Shortly after, various ambulances came speeding past us. Outside the town the severe extend of the damage could be seen. It was unbelievable. It looked like someone snapped the trees like twigs.”

The possibility that a tornado swept through the town could not be confirmed. This is the second time that a storm caused severe damage in Belfast. In February this year, a tornado also moved through Belfast causing serious damage.
