VIDEO: Four reasons Mbombela is the place to be
The town is a finalist in Kwêla's 'Dorp van die jaar' competition.
Our town has interesting places, interesting people and an amazing vibe.
Also, locals have a sense of humour of note.
No wonder Mbombela is a finalist in the ‘Dorp van die jaar’ competition.
The long and short of the competition:
- Who qualifies?
A town with less than 500 000 residents. (In this case – the old ‘Nelspruit’ part of the larger Mbombela.)
- How did we get this far?
The town was nominated by sms between Feb 15 and Feb 21.
- How do we get to the final?
SMS ‘Mbombela’ or ‘Nelspruit’ to 33157 NOW. The towns with the most SMS’es will make it through.
- This year, the towns we are competing against for a spot in the final are White River and Witbank.
- We have a week (Wednesday March 8 to Tuesday March 14 @ 14:00) to vote for our town. The town with the most votes goes to the national final.
