Easter load shedding schedule

Consumers are urged to switch off geysers during peak periods at 17:00 to 21:00 and at 05:00 to 09:00 in the morning.

LYDENBURG – The following extensions and parts of town will be affected by load shedding during the Easter weekend extending to next week Thursday:

On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the areas of Mosterthoek, Potloodspruit, Finsbury Crescent, Lydenburg, Maasdorp and Kriel Streets including Mashishing extension 6, Beverly Hills and extension 2 will experience load shedding from 17:00 to 21:00 in the evening.

On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday the same areas will again be powerless for the same times (17:00 to 21:00) as per a schedule released by Thaba Chweu Local Municipality (TCLM).

TCLM said that this information is for “information purposes’’ only.

“Load shedding is subject to load demand at a particular time interval. Load-shedding will take place during the evening/night depending on the load demand. Consumers are urged to switch off geysers during peak periods at 17:00 to 21:00 and at 05:00 to 09:00 in the morning. For their own safety customers are requested to consider all electrical points as alive during load shedding. For more information, contact the call center on 013-235 1788/7370.”
