BURGERSFORT – The driver of an Isuzu bakkie died when he lost control of his vehicle which veered off a bridge at Mabocha Village last Friday night. The Tubatse police spokesman, Const Basintjeng Ngwana told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that paramedics declared the driver dead when they arrived at the scene.”Five other passengers are nursing injuries at the nearby Dilokong Hospital. We plead with people to abide by the road rules and the speed limit and to also refrain from drinking and driving,” said Ngwana.The police are hard at work with the investigation of a culpable-homicide case. According to them, the driver and the injured are from Ga-Motshana Village.Meanwhile the Apel SAPS has launched a manhunt for a group of suspects which attacked and killed a man who was travelling in a truck on the R37. According to the Limpopo SAPS his car was also set alight at Ga-Nkoana Village.Police spokesman, Moatshe Ngoepe said, “As of now the motive behind that killing is still unknown but we are following on the leads. We therefore call on all members of the community who might be aware of who the suspects are, to contact the nearest police station.”Ngoepe said the body of the driver was found a short distance from the burnt vehicle.
