SAPS and stores partner up to bring joy and meals to orphans

The organisations cooked meals for the children, donated groceries, blankets and also shared a cake with them.

BURGERSFORT – Various organisations and departments, including the Burgersfort SAPS, Steelpoort Pick n Pay, Kohin, and Fascinating Womanhood visited the Kgakanang Orphanage Centre at Ga Manoke to celebrate their 67 Minutes for Mandela Day.The organisations cooked meals for the children, donated groceries, blankets and also shared a cake with them.The kids sang in jubilation when the station commander of the Burgersfort SAPS, Brig Risimati Maluleke, handed out the the goodies. Maluleke told Steelburger/Lydenburg News that they cared deeply for the children.

“Mandela dedicated his life to the kids and the elderly. That is the reason we chose to better the lives of the young ones at Ga Manoke,” he said.The orphanage takes care of 17 kids. It is run by Antoinette Mgiba.
