BREAKING NEWS: Taxi strike disrupts traffic on N4
Motorists driving on the N4 near Emalahleni should exercise caution and use alternative routes where possible.
EMALAHLENI – Traffic on the N4 is at a standstill as striking taxi drivers have blocked the national road.
Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison (DCSSL) spokesman, Joseph Mabuza has confirmed that the strike is as a result of taxi route dispute as well as ranking facilities.
The drivers will be handing a memorandum over to the Emalahleni Local Municipality.
The affected routes are the N4 between KG Mall and Emalahleni on both directions. Road users are encouraged exercise caution as they drive through the town today.
According to Mabuza, the N4 should be cleared by 13:00.
