BURGERSFORT – Vodka lovers had an opportunity to taste one of the world’s best-selling vodkas. Thaba Moshate Hotel Casino and Convention Resort welcomed about 30 locals for an Absolut Vodka tasting last Friday night. The guests managed to imbibe different flavours of the famous Swedish alcoholic drink. Speaking at the event, promoter Brian Tshomane said, “We take responsibility for the entire production from seed to bottle, for a better world and a better vodka.”
Tshomane said Absolut can be enjoyed ice cold or with a tonic water, lemonade as well as with flavoured juices.

One of the tasters, Sepadi Thobejane, told the newspaper that he enjoyed the Absolut Vodka’s lime-flavoured drink. “I like the fact that its made exclusively from natural ingredients, and unlike some other vodkas, it doesn’t contain any added sugar,” he said.According to Tshomane, the main ingredients in Absolut Vodka are water and winter wheat. The water comes from a deep well in Åhus (Sweden) where it is protected from impurities. “We only use hardy winter wheat from the area surrounding Åhus.”
