Samwu shuts down FTLM offices

The workers are demanding the resignation of the MM NP Busane along with the director of Corporate services Mafori Isaac Phasha. Samwu's Colin Dlamini said their protest will continue during the course of the week.

Workers associated with  the South African Municipal Workers’s Union  (Samwu) have embarked on a strike at the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality (FTLM) today.

The workers are demanding the resignation of the MM NP Busane along with the director of Corporate services Mafori Isaac Phasha.

Samwu’s Colin Dlamini said their protest will continue during the course of the week. He said workers at the Ga Nkwana offices are also part of the protest.  All services at the FTLM are currently suspended. The workers have also used their cars to block the entrances of the Civic Centre.
