BURGERSFORT – The Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality’s (FTLM) mayor, Naume Phala, has recently announced new appointments to managerial positions at the municipality.

Acting head of communications, Ngoato Rachidi, confirmed the appointment of Mavis Magooa as the new acting municipal manager (MM) while Dennis Magoma is the current acting chief financial officer (CFO).

According to Rachidi, the mayor wishes to develop innovative solutions to achieve service delivery and restore the institution’s reputation.

“The FTLM council wishes them the best in exercising their responsibilities to take the municipality to greater heights and advance the interest of communities through ensuring that compliance to the law and pieces of legislation reign supreme,” added Rachidi.

Meanwhile, the DA’s Lethabile Kgwedi said they are concerned about the chopping and changing of management in the FTLM.

“We are in Hollywood and everybody is in an acting position. Those positions are occupied by individuals we have suspended due to their involvement with the VBS heist.

Magooa and Magoma have replaced Maureen Ntshudisane as MM and Sasa Mulenga as CFO.
