Pumas Golf Day a huge occasion of cementing partnerships.

Mbombela Golf Club was a sea of pink when a full field of players took to the course for the annual Airlink Pumas Golf Day on Thursday, June 18.

The Pumas enjoyed the day with their sponsors, partners, supporters and the many others who make it possible for the union and its team to succeed.

There was much gees and laughter around the 18 holes as golf, some excellent and some not so much, was played on an overcast but extremely pleasant winter’s day.

Decorated gazebos at the tee boxes were operated by various sponsors who entertained and kept the players hydrated.

It was a day of camaraderie, with all present absorbing the positive vibe that is the foundation of the Pumas’ ethos.

“The annual Pumas Golf Day is more than just a day on the golf course, it is an opportunity to bring together our sponsors, partners, supporters and the wider rugby community in celebrating the values and proud legacy of Pumas rugby,” said Marius van Rensburg, CEO of the Mpumalanga Rugby Union.

“Year after year, the golf day continues to be a great success and plays an important role in strengthening relationships and expressing our appreciation to those who contribute to the success and sustainability of the union,” said Van Rensburg.

“On behalf of the Pumas, we extend our sincere thanks to all our sponsors, business partners and loyal supporters for making this event possible. Without your continued support, such a memorable occasion would not be possible. A special word of appreciation also goes to all my colleagues who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the success of this event. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the Pumas Golf Day such a special occasion.”
