Grand Pa and grand ma day at Burgersfort Laerskool

BURGERSFORT – Pupils in the junior grades were ecstatic when they celebrated grandma and grandpa day at Laerskool Burgersfort on Friday.
This year’s event had more fun as the school invited Buster and Bella. The kids were singing along to rhymes performed by these two. Buster and Bella is presented by Kindervermaak South Africa. The characters are played by Hendri Myburgh and Lianie May.
The school hosts this event annually to improve ties between children and their grandparents and also to show grandparents what their grandchildren are doing at school.
Little ones formed a guard of honour to welcome the elders and also handed them lunch. Some boasted to their peers about how special their grannies were, while others showed their grandpas their school projects. The school thanked grandparents who attended the day.
