The expo aims to give pupils valuable knowledge to make educated decisions regarding their future.

Local learners are now a little better equipped to make important decisions about their future, following the
weekend’s SABC High School Career Expo. It took place at Riverside Mall last weekend.

 

 

The expo aims to give pupils valuable knowledge to make educated decisions regarding their future. It had exhibitions
designed to provide learners with muchneeded information. It targeted grades seven to 12.

They had the chance to meet with representatives from a wide range of universities, technikons, colleges and other tertiary institutions.

 

 

They gained insight and career advice from leading field specialists. Heidi Garbade from the HSCE said they provide both primary and middle school students with opportunities and guidance for choosing a high school and selecting their subjects.

“They had the high-flyer power hour in which representatives from the various institutions gave presentations. They also received advice on how to manage finances when living away from home,” she said.
