Councilor donates to local school

“I am very happy to give back to my people. I did my secondary at this school. It is also in my ward, you know they say charity begins at home.”

APEL – ANC councilor at the Fetakgomo Tubatse local municipality (FTLM) MJ Ratsoma  has once again ensured pupils have sanitary towels. Ratsoma  recently donated sanitary towels and deodorants to needy pupils at  Morokalebole Secondary School.

He told this publication that the reason for the good deed was that he often heard of reports of the learners bunking classes when they were on their periods.

In total he handed out 240 packs of sanitary pads and 72 Shield brand deodorants.  Ratsoma made the donations along with Mam Maisela, a professional nurse who also motivated the girls on the day.

“I am very happy to give back to my people. I did my secondary at this school. It is also in my ward, you know they say charity begins at home.”

Ratsoma indicated that he prioritizes education. “Those pupils are the future of our country. Let’s not allow poverty to disturb our kids to get better education.”
