Town abuzz despite lockdown
Disregard for the regulations must and can be reported to the station commander and vispol commander.

LYDENBURG – It would seem that locals exempted their selves from the national lockdown regulation.
The isolation period started on midnight last night on account of the rapidly spreading coronavirus.
Since early morning, cars drove around in town – with more than the allowed number of passengers as set out in the order by government ruling.
Families were seen shopping with their children, leisurely strolling through supermarket aisles.
Residents reacted with shock and disgust about the non-compliance by other locals.
Disregard for the regulations must and can be reported to the station commander and vispol commander.
Station commander Col Lota Motsileng can be reached on 082 943 5588 and vispol commander Col Samson Sibiya on 071 181 2952.
