Other hotspots visited included the local taxi rank, which is complying as per the executive mayor's observation.

BURGERSFORT – The Sekhukhune District Municipality’s executive mayor, Keamotseng Stanley Ramaila, was in Burgersfort for a Covid-19 awareness campaign yesterday.

Ramaila attended with the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality’s acting mayor, Eddie Maila, and members of the SAPS.

Ramaila checked shops at the Twin City Complex as well as the Burgersfort Mall for compliance with the lockdown measures.

He indicated that some of the shops were found to be noncompliant during last week’s visit by Limpopo’s MEC of Transport and Community Safety, Dickson Masemola.

Other hotspots visited included the local taxi rank, which is complying as per the executive mayor’s observation.

“We applaud the provincial command council for having deployed soldiers to Burgersfort, Jane Furse and Dennilton. These areas today show further signs of compliance compared to last week. We are at work and repeat our resolution that human lives matter the most,” said Ramaila.

He said they will continue with campaigns in other municipalities around Sekhukhune.
