Penryn pupil places first in Computer Talent Search
The Computer Talent Search is the South African version of the Bebras Contest which attracts more than two million participants from more than 50 countries each year.

The contest requires the use of computational thinking – those skills that are also required for mathematics, science, IT and computer applications.
The Talent Search identifies pupils with the skills, but at the same time gives all an opportunity to develop them.
Shelby Guerin, a Penryn College matric, placed first in South Africa. She is also the dux scholar.
“This is an amazing achievement and Shelby kept Penryn College’s name high in the Computer Olympiad circles, for this she was awarded honours. Well done, Shelby!” said Penryn marketing.
“Well done to so many of our learners who achieved bronze, silver and gold certificates.”
