Top tips to keep the eneregy bill low this Christmas

#Festive2020 The festive season is generally a time when energy consumption increases

To stay ahead of the game and keep the electricity bill low, here are a few energy saving hacks to avoid nasty surprises in January 2021.

  • Buy LED Christmas lights because they use about 90 per cent less electricity that the normal lights.
  • Opt for a fiber optic tree. It uses a single bulb at the bottom of the unit that lights up the whole tree.
  • Wait until dark before switching on the Christmas tree and turn it off just before turning in for the might.
  • Don not leave on the lights in the room when the Christmas tree is on
  • Create a wonderful ambience within the home by using candles
  • Invest in rechargeable batteries and a charger
  • Use smaller appliances
  • Unplug TVs, DVD players, computers, printers and other “phantom” electronics before going on holiday.
