Colour run a great success

Laerskool Laeveld held their annual fun colour run at the school grounds on Thursday November 11.

With clouds of bright colour hanging in the air, friends and families from across the Lowveld gathered at Laerskool Laeveld on Thursday November 11 for the annual fun colour run.

With the school’s gates opening at 17:00, the colour run started at 18:00 with scores of people, young and old, in attendance.

Before the race even started, participants were throwing bags of powder at one another, ensuring that each one had an assortment of colours across their faces and clothing.

Volunteers, wearing flowers, tutus and balloons stood at certain points along the fun-run route and threw the powder at the excited runners. Food was on sale for everyone.

The school said it was a successful event and thanked all those involved in organising the race and those who attended and participated.
