Excitement as White River Hospice raffle winners are announced

Hospice supporters and management came together at Sabie Valley Coffee last week to determine the lucky winners of the organisation’s recent raffle.

Members of the coffee shop audience were called to the front to assist in the draw with the excitement building up each time before a winner was announced. The manager of Hospice White River, Tarren Gericke, held two containers, one for the prize and one for the winner, from which the audience member drew.

Gericke said aside from stumbling during her speech, she was very happy with the way the day turned out.
“We sold all the tickets that we needed to sell; there were 600 of them.

“It was also just to get out there. Nobody has met me as the new manager, so this is the first time we have done an introduction to the new team and just a bit of an explanation about where we are.”

She thanked all involved from organising and selling tickets to the venue; Sabie Valley Coffee provided coffee and snacks for the day.

The winners for the various prizes were as follows:
