Collision with substation leaves Sonheuwel without power

A power outage is affecting the Sonheuwel area after a bakkie hit a substation in Johanna Drive earlier today.

According to Thea Rix, the driver of the vehicle was unharmed and an ambulance was on the scene.

The municipality said the vehicle will be removed and a mini-substation will be placed there temporarily.

It said it will keep residents updated and that, if all goes well, repairs should be done by 14:30.
