Pedestrian hit by car on R40, dies on scene

A pedestrian was hit by a car on the R40 next to the old showgrounds towards Riverside, and died on the scene.

Moeti Mmusi, the spokesperson for community safety, security and liaison, confirmed the incident, however, they were not yet sure of the person’s gender.

He said they would give more information after the police investigations. “We appeal to people at all times to not cross the road where they are not supposed to,” he said.
