Mathabatha gets Covid-19 booster shot

POLOKWANE – The Limpopo premier, Chupu Stanley Mathabatha, received his Covid-19 booster on Wednesday at Pietersburg Hospital.

The shot was administered by Sr Lorraine Msitini. It was Mathabatha’s third Pfizer shot.

Mathabatha emphasised the importance of the booster insofar as the fight against Covid-19 is concerned, and urged everyone eligible to consider taking it as soon as possible.

Mathabatha reiterated the importance of people getting vaccinated against Covid-19.

“This will reduce serious illness and hospitalisation or death. Booster shots are important in this pandemic, especially with emerging new variants. This is in accordance to scientific evidence,” he said.

He was accompanied by the Limpopo MEC for health, Dr Phophi Ramathuba.
