Barberton Primary athletes bring their all at Interprimary

Barberton Primary achieved medals and places on the podium for their valiant effort at the Interprimary athletics meeting on Saturday February 19.

Barberton Primary stood out in their bright red, yellow and blue, at Hoërskool Rob Ferreira and received 12 medals in total, six gold, one silver and five bronze.

Siphokazi Msibi.

Scarlett Msthini received two gold medals for the girls’ u/7 60m race, running a time of 10.32s, and for the 80m race, running a quick time of 13.41s. Nothile Nhlengethwa won the u/12 long jump with a distance of 4.01m.

Lethu Mhlabane.

Kayla Zwane was the athlete who helped Barberton Primary make their mark as she won four of the nine medals. She won the u/10 high jump with a height of 1.2m and got gold in the 100m running a time of 14.81s.

Israel Tjatji.

She received a silver medal for running the 80m in 11.93s and received a bronze medal for jumping 3.52m in long jump.
