New showroom is a modern beacon for Volkswagen Highlands

With its new building design, Volkswagen Highlands is providing a modern element to the Lydenburg vehicle industry.

The wall-to-wall glass, lighting, layout, and material used were designed by Förtsch and Associates Architects in Mbombela. Volkswagen South Africa has redesigned all its dealerships around the country over the past few years to give them a new corporate image.

The local branch, situated on the corners of Kerk and Kantoor streets, has another reason to celebrate. In keeping with the excellence Volkswagen SA inspires, the Volkswagen Highlands branch recently won the Club of Excellence award.

Anru Myburgh, the dealer principal of Volkswagen Highlands, received the Club of Excellence award on behalf of the dealership.

This prestigious Grand Prix Awards took place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on May 12. It was Volkswagen’s 29th ceremony to recognise the dealers and their accomplishments.

The Grand Prix Awards honoured 86 dealer network colleagues across 15 award categories, including the most sought-after Micro and Macro Group of the Year. Anru Myburgh, dealer principal of Volkswagen Highlands, received the Club of Excellence award on behalf of the dealership. It is exclusively awarded to those Volkswagen dealers that excel in vehicle sales, Volkswagen SA’s dealer standards, customer satisfaction, and parts delivery. Membership qualification for the Club of Excellence is reviewed annually. Highlands Volkswagen is part of the Lowveld Group, which won Micro Dealer Group of the Year.

The overall Dealer of the Year award was won by Alan Hudson Motors.

“Volkswagen remains a success due to the contribution of thousands of team members from our manufacturing plant right through to our after-sales services. Our dealer network plays a pivotal role in driving our sales each year, We could not be prouder of the dealer network’s achievements and are grateful for their contributions to the success of Volkswagen in the local passenger market,” concluded Steffen Knapp, head of Volkswagen Passenger Cars.

Volkswagen Highlands is a brand-new landmark in Lydenburg.

Myburgh said he could not be more proud of his team. He has been with the dealership for the past five years, and in the VW Group for the past nine. “I would not have been able to achieve this without our staff’s commitment and dedication. I am extremely proud of them. I also want to thank our customers for their loyal and continued support.”

He said the dealership is looking forward to the arrival of the new VW Taigo in June and the Volkswagen Amorak later this year. Volkswagen Highlands is ready to assist clients with all their motoring requirements. View the selection of new VW vehicles, or discover a used vehicle option that fits your lifestyle. The dealership has a state-of-the-art parts department and vehicle service centre.
