Tshwane University of Technology to host fundraising golf day

TUT aims to support students in need of study material and aids through this golf day fundraiser.

TUT announced its first annual fundraising golf day and prize-giving gala dinner scheduled at the Mbombela Golf Club at the end of June. The purpose of the event, TUT said, is to raise funds to support middle students not funded by NSFAS. The funds raised will go towards students in need of laptops, books, bursaries, accommodation and food.

Date: Thursday, June 30

Venue: Mbombela Golf Club

Registration: 08:00 for 08:30

Tee-off: Shotgun at 09:00

Format: Four-ball alliance – two scores to count scramble drive

Entry fee: R4 000 per four-ball (includes green fees, golf carts, halfway house, prize-giving function)

Sponsorships, co-branding and naming rights: R75 000

Branding and advertising at the gala dinner/prize-giving: R6 000

Purchasing a hole for advertising purposes: R3 500

Banner at the tee-off or water holes: R3 000
