Head-on collision causes total closure of N4 near Nkomazi Plaza

The crash occurred just after 12:30 today, Monday August 29. It is unclear when the road will be opened.

A head-on collision on the N4, about 1.4km east of Nkomazi Toll Plaza, reportedly involving three trucks and a sedan, has resulted in a total road closure today, August 29.

It is unclear at this stage when the road will be opened. It is also not known what caused the crash and how many injuries/fatalities occurred.
TRACN4’s Solange Soares has said that a fire that had resulted from the crash, has since been extinguished. Emergency personnel as well as police are on the scene.

 


Motorists are asked to be patient as there are no alternative routes.
