Hawks arrest traffic officer in Lydenburg for fraud

According the Hawks, more arrests may follow this week.

A female traffic officer was arrested at the Thaba Chweu Local Municipality Traffic Department on Tuesday October 11.
The charges are connected to fraud surrounding traffic fines.

The officer will appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday October 12.

The Mpumalanga Hawks spokesperson, Captain Dineo Sekgotodi, said more arrests may follow during the week, across the province.

According to information, two arrests were supposed to be made on Tuesday afternoon. This is a developing story, and Steelburger/Lydenburg News will keep its readers updated.
