Vehicle rolls down embankment in Long Tom Pass, injuring two

Paramedics and emergency services arrived on the scene and found the vehicle lying roughly 30m below.

A blue VW Citi Golf rolled down the hillside on the Long Tom Pass (R37) about 10km outside Lydenburg, shortly before 18:00 on Sunday November 6.

It is alleged that the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle on a sharp bend. He overturned and rolled down an embankment close to a vantage point.

Thaba Chweu Emergency Services, other towing services, and the Lydenburg Ambulance Services were all on the scene.

The driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries.
