Eswatini authorities ease Covid-19 restrictions

People visiting Eswatini no longer require proof of full vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test.

The Eswatini government has taken a decision to ease some of the Covid-19 regulations for people who wish to visit the country.

According to acting prime minister, Themba Masuku, the country has observed a low number of infections of Covid-19 since September.

“It’s worth noting that we have remained vigilant in monitoring the daily number of cases, closely following the early warning indicators in terms of new cases, the positivity rate and the number of admissions, and also monitoring the circulating variants,” he said.

Masuku said the government has taken the decision to ease some of the prevailing measures. Entry into the Kingdom of Eswatini no longer requires proof of full vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test.
