Despite downpour, Kaapsehoop Christmas Market draws visitors
Despite the heavy rain in the afternoon, the market saw a number of people coming out to support the stallholders.

The Kaapsehoop Christmas Market on Saturday November 12 saw a number of people attending to support the stallholders, despite the heavy rain that forced some of the stalls to close early.
This popular market is always well supported and a full-day affair with visitors from far and wide, but the downpour saw only some enjoying the benefits planned this time around.

Those who braved the weather, however, enjoyed the music, local food and beer. Local artists’ crafts were also on display and for sale. The locally produced fare is always sought-after.

One of the stall owners said they managed to sell half of their goods, and they believed that had it not been for the rain, they would have had an excellent day.The general feeling was that despite the rain, the market was a success, as people still came in sizeable numbers to support local businesses.
