Collisions on Ohrigstad road (R36) keep mounting

Yet another collision occurred about 10km to 15km from Lydenburg within the past few weeks.

Today, Thursday November 24, just after midday, two vehicles were involved in a collision.

Thaba Chweu Emergency Services was on the scene. A traffic official there issued a warning to all motorists to adhere to the speed limit and to abide by traffic regulations.

One of the drivers involved in the accident was transported to the Lydenburg Medical Centre by the paramedics for minor injuries they had sustained.

Steelburger/Lydenburg News, both newspaper and online, recently reported on all the collisions within the first 10km to 15km from Lydenburg towards Ohrigstad.

In one such an incident, a Mazda bakkie and a Ford sedan were involved. One of the drivers was slowing down and indicating to turn right onto Frischgewaagd Road, when it was sideswiped from the rear by the other vehicle.

On Saturday November 12, Chris Steenekamp (30) passed away in an accident a few kilometres from this particular collision, next to Impangeli Inn.
