Accidents on road to Ohrigstad are on the increase
This is the second accident on the R36 within a few days.
On Tuesday December 20 at 05:53, a driver on his way to Ohrigstad apparently lost control of his Toyota Hilux D4D about 11km out of Lydenburg and rolled down an embankment next to the road.
The driver and his passenger sustained injuries and were taken to Lydenburg for medical treatment.

At about 12:30 on Friday December 16, a Ford Bantam had overturned on the R36, about 8km out of Lydenburg. The driver was heading in Ohrigstad’s direction. He and his passenger were stabilised on the scene before being transported to Lydenburg Hospital.
The Lydenburg Traffic Department, the Lydenburg SAPS, some towing companies and the Thaba Chweu Emergency Services were present on the subsequent scenes at both incidents.
