The acting CEO of the MTPA has been cleared of all wrongdoing

Mduduzi Vilakazi was accused of maladministration and mismanagement by NEHAWU and the Daantjie royal family.

The board of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has concluded its investigation into the allegations of maladministration and mismanagement of the agency by NEHAWU towards the acting chief executive officer (CEO), NEHAWU

The MTPA’s board chairperson, Victor Mashego, said the allegations included alleged negative and threatening utterances made by Vilakazi against the Lusendvo Lwa Daantjie royal family parties, as well as the handling of the fencing project at Mthethomusha Nature Reserve.

“The board of the MTPA is pleased to announce that following the investigation conducted by Samba Solutions on behalf of the board, Vilakazi has been cleared of all the wrongdoing raised by both NEHAWU and Lusendvo Lwa Daantjie royal family,”  said Mashego.

“This follows a lengthy investigation process into these allegations to establish the validity of the case. The board welcomes the report by Samba and intends to continue to work with the acting CEO to amend relations with NEHAWU and the Lusendvo Lwa Daantjie royal family as they are both critical stakeholders in ensuring that the MTPA executes its mandate,” said Mashego.

Mashego also said it is looking forward to a long lasting working relationship and it is confident that it can position the MTPA as a committed and reputable entity.
