Mozambican woman targeted by hijackers in Mbombela

Hi-Tech Nelspruit warned citizens of a Polo, either silver or white, that is targeting Mozambican vehicles.

An attempted hijacking occurred in Mbombela this evening, September 5.

According to Hi-Tech Nelspruit, a woman from Mozambique was en route from her guest house to a grocery store when either a silver or white Polo tried to force her off the road.

Frank Swanepoel of Hi-Tech said they were alerted to the incident following reports of gunshots on a community WhatsApp group. An unknown number of shots were fired, three of which hit the woman’s vehicle.

Fortunately, there were no injuries. The SAPS had responded to the scene.

Hi-Tech warned citizens to be vigilant of either a silver or white Polo with lights on its dashboard, which present as that of law enforcement. It is reportedly targeting Mozambican vehicles specifically.
