Bomb threat for another Standard Bank branch

BURGERSFORT – Standard Bank in Twin City Complex have been evacuated and closed on account of a bomb threat received this morning.

According to an officer at the scene the bank received a telephone call at 09:30, informing them that there is apparently a bomb somewhere in the building of the bank. The employees and clients were immediately evacuated from the bank and the Burgersfort police and Tubatse Fire Department were contacted.

He also added that the bank will be closed today as they are further investigating the matter. On April 25 Standard Bank in Lydenburg also received a bomb threat.
