KOMATIPOORT – According to Komatipoort Police Station’s Const Natacia Mbuyane, Const Walter Hutchinson and Const Cebile Ndluvo came across a suspect and stopped him during their regular patrols. “When they decided to search his vehicle they found a powdery substance and loose dagga. The suspect was immediately taken into police custody,” Mbuyane said.
The powder had been sent for testing, to establish what it was and the dagga was sent to be weighed and it’s street value determined.
The accused appeared in the Tonga Magistrate’s Court on Monday and the Komatipoort Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. His case was postponed during both appearances and he is expected back in court for his bail application on April 26.
