Name changes are due for Mbombela, White River and KaMagugu.

On Tuesday, municipal manager Mr Noko Seanego, called upon community members to come forth with new names for various areas and beacons in the city.
If you feel that any of these suburbs or villages should not bear its current name, the local government invites you to suggest any name that fits your liking.
Community beacons up for renaming:
Valencia community hall.
Valencia public library.
Valencia sport complex.
Community members were invited to attend a public participation meeting on the topic on May 25, 2016. It was held at the Valencia community hall.
Oewersig Hall.
Nelsville community hall.
Nelsville public library.
Nelsville sport complex.
Nelsville cemetery.
Community members are invited to attend a public participation meeting on the topic on June 1, 2016. It will be held at the Nelsville community hall.
White River civic hall.
White River public library.
White River sport complex.
White River cemetary.
Community members are invited to attend a public participation meeting on the topic on June 3, 2016. It will be held at the White River civil hall.
Hillsview community hall.
Hillsview cemetery.
Community members are invited to attend a public participation meeting on the topic on June 4, 2016. It will be held at the Hillsview community hall.
KaMagugu sport complex.
Community members are invited to attend a public participation meeting on the topic on June 8, 2016. It will be held at the KaMagugu Comprehensive school.
Suburbs and villages listed for renaming:
Nelsville, Ermelo village Mbombela, Tembisa village Mbombela, Mamelodi village Mbombela, Bhuga, Mpakeni, Nkohlakalo, Backdoor, Nyongane, Tekatakho, Bhejakufa, Bhodlindlandla, Dingindoda, Mtjontjaframe and Ka-Orgo.
These townships and suburbs were wrongly registered. Their names will now be corrected:
Mataffin to Matsafeni.
Msogwaba to Msegwabo.
Tekwane South to Thekwane South.
Tekwane North to Thekwane North.
Valencia will possibly be renamed to Nel-India.
Community members may fill their suggestions out on forms available at the various municipal service centres in the greater Mbombela. This must be done within 30 days from Tuesday (May 24, 2016).
Proposed names should comply with the South African Geographical Names Council Act 118 of 1998.
