Four ATMs emptied metres from police station

At around 22:00, three armed suspects approached the premises and overpowered an ACS security guard.

11:00 – New information has just come to light that not one, but four ATMs were emptied at Nelspruit Plaza last night. Police says that the suspects knew exactly what they were doing.

10:30 – Cash stolen from ATM metres from police station

MBOMBELA – Cash was stolen from an ATM at Nelspruit Plaza, across the road from the local police station, last night.

At around 22:00, three armed suspects approached the premises  and overpowered an ACS security guard.

He and two other guards, who arrived at a later stage, were tied up.

The suspects then cut the ATM’s safe open with a grinder and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

“No one was injured during the robbery,” said Capt Dawie Pretorius, local police spokesman.  Pretorius added that a case of business robbery is being investigated.
