TONGA – According to Tonga SAPS spokesman, Mzwandile Nyambi, the police received a tip-off about suspected drug dealers travelling from Mgobodzi to Block C. Capt Thomas Phangisa, who was off-duty at the time, waited for the vehicle at the location where the suspects were allegedly going to sell dagga.
The four suspects, aged from 20 to 40, were arrested for possession of dagga. The dagga with a street value of R70 000 was confiscated.
The suspects appeared in the Nkomazi Magistrate’s Court on Monday afternoon.
Station commander, Brig Velisiwe Mdaka, commended Phangisa on a job well done.
