One dead and two injured in accident on KaNyamazane road

One person died and two were injured in a collision on the D2296.

A head-on collision involving two light motor vehicles claimed one life and injured two others on the D2296 in KaNyamazane near MRTT College on December 5.

According to Divergent Medical Services, emergency personnel responded to the scene where one person was declared dead on arrival.

The two other occupants sustained moderate injuries. They were treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for medical care.

The spokesperson for the Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, confirmed the incident.

He said the cause of the accident is not yet known, although investigations are under way.

He urged motorists to exercise extreme caution on the D2296 and surrounding routes as the festive season approaches, stressing the need for adherence to all road rules to prevent further loss of life.
