Relay for Life moved to I’langa mall
Due to the persistent rain, the CANSA Relay for Life will take place at I'langa mall.
NELSPRUIT – Relay for Life Nelspruit has been moved to I’langa Mall’s covered parking area.
Due to the heavy rain which has fallen over the past week, the original venue, Penryn College, is no longer viable. Rain is also predicted for the weekend.
The programme remains the same.
Teams are requested to make their camps at I’langa. There will be more than enough place for gazebos. No stakes may be hammered into the paving and some teams might therefore forfeit their banners.
Teams can set up camp at 10:00 on Saturday, March 8.
Riaan Loubser, RFL Nelspruit committee chairman said, “I want to take this opportunity to thank Penryn headmaster, Mr Ersamus and the rest of the Penryn staff for their support over the past few weeks. You and your school are a great asset to this community! The staff and RFL committee is currently at Ilanga Mall hard at work implementing our plan B logistics. I thank them all for the extra hours and work that will go into this alternative set-up. I’m looking forward to seeing you at RFL Ilanga Mall on Saturday”.

The Relay for Life supplement from page 21 to 26 went to press before this annoucement was made. Please note the venue is not Penryn College as stated in the supplement, but I’langa Mall’s bottom covered parking.
