For only R50 a car from 09:00 to 17:00 you can look forward to picking your own pecans from their orchid, live music, a beer garden and food stalls while the children are spoilt rotten with an array of activities and a few surprises. You will not be bored for one minute.
With its beautiful grass hills, Cradle of Life has an impressive assortment of animal species, exotic and indigenous, which include white lion, tiger, jaguar, puma, leopard, cheetah, Siberian wolve, hyena and meerkat.
They have two types of tiger with one being the Russian Siberian tiger, and is ranked as one of the largest felids ever to have existed and the Indian Bengal tiger being the most common subspecies of the nine tigers across the world.
This wild-cat sanctuary has so much to keep you busy, you will want to stay for the weekend in the modern and cosy huts. There is a fantastic restaurant that allows you to taste each component of your food.
There is a petting farm and play pen for the kids. Game drives are also key and should be considered as one of your highlights.
The Pecan Festival promises to bring the community together with lots of food and drinks and even a cooking demo or two with Sarel van Sabie to keep the party interesting. This is an event for your diary, so don’t miss out!
