MBOMBELA – The 26-year-old alternative rock artist, Jesse Clegg, reminded the crowd yet again that there is no replacement for live music, ever.
It was the first time in four years that Clegg, who also took his music to the international stage this year, performed in the Lowveld. He entertained the crowd at Stoep with songs like “Everybody is going to war”, “When I wake up”, “Teardrop”, “Girl lost in the city” and all-time favourite “Heart break street”.
After the widespread acclaim of his debut album in 2008, When I wake up, Clegg’s music caught the attention of three-time Grammy-winning Canadian producer, David Botrill who then produced Clegg’s second album, Life on Mars.
