These beds were made for racing
This is one of the projects that the Lions Club organises to raise funds for the less fortunate and this year's proceeds went to Hospice Nelspruit.

MBOMBELA – The 10th annual High-Q Lions Bed Race was once again a huge success.
Spectators and participants were up bright and early on Saturday morning for this fun initiative held at I’langa Mall’s rooftop parking.
According to Gail Jackman of the club, they raised roughly R20 000.
It was clear that a lot of hard work went into each bed and teams really went all out to make sure they made a statement. It was PricwaterhouseCoopers which walked away as the best-dressed team with its pirate theme.
Each bed was manned by a “patient” and four pushers. During the race there were four pit stops where a member had to take part in various fun activities.
It was a fantastic team-building exercise and not only did the people have a lot of fun, they were also giving back to the community.
It was a close race, but it was the Working on Fire team which were just a little bit faster than the rest.
Ramburg Beef came in second and Buscor was right on their heels.
