Panarottis continue to give back to the needy

Motsileng promised to help pay tuition fees for pupils who earn more than four distinctions in their final examinations.

BURGERSFORT – The local Panarottis brought smiles to the grade 12 pupils of Maputle Secondary School. The restaurant sponsored the pupils’ meals for their matric dance.
The ball was hosted at the magnificent Papa V Lodge on Friday, October 14.
Dishing out the meals, the store’s waiters and waitresses were led by the owner, Mr Powers Motsileng, who was also the motivational speaker at the event.“We know that the matric dance is sometimes a stressful time and potentially financially strenuous for the schoolchildren and their families. It is part of our social responsibility to give back to the community, especially Ga Maroga where Maputle is situated. The people of Ga Maroga have been supportive to my business at Powers PNP. I started my first business at Ga Maroga,” Motsileng said.
He told the pupils to put effort into their studies. “Your results will open doors for you at tertiary institutions. Work hard and pass. The lavish life will come thereafter.”
Motsileng urged them to also apply to study at colleges. “Don’t underestimate TVET colleges. We need artisans, engineers, mechanics and other tradesmen,” he advised.
Motsileng promised to help pay tuition fees for pupils who earn more than four distinctions in their final examinations. “In January you can come to me with your distinctions. I will gladly assist your family with fees for the duration of your course,” he added.
Motsileng’s Panarottis served burgers, pizzas and drinks to the pupils and teachers.
Maputle’s school management body said they were grateful for the restaurant’s kind gesture.
