Family left homeless after shack catches fire

“We are in dire need of food and furniture to bring some balance in our lives. I plead with good Samaritans to help with these and other resources so that I can take care of my family,” said Searane

BURGERSFORT – Ever since a fire destroyed the Searane family’s shack at Ga Mashamothane a fortnight ago, they have been struggling to carry on with their lives. The family lost their shelter and all their belongings.
According to Mr Herrence Searane, the owner of the shack, it is not yet known what caused the fire.
Speaking to Steelburger/Lydenburg News the homeowner said he was traumatised from having to watch his house burning down.
“We are in dire need of food and furniture to bring some balance in our lives. I plead with good Samaritans to help with these and other resources so that I can take care of my family,” said Searane
Neighbour and family friend, Mr Andy Komane urged residents and business owners to help them to recover from their crisis.
“Your donations and support are vital to giving this family a new life, starting with a new home. They have nothing left,” he said. Those who wish to help, can call Searane on 079-440-4132.
